Bribie Island(about 30 km.long)is accessed from the mainland by a 2 lane bridge & is 50 mins drive north of Brisbane (on the Pacific Highway)90% of Bribie is a wildlife sanctury,accessable by 4x4 vehicle & foot.It has 4 villages linked by road & cycle track.The eastern beaches are surf,to the west is Pumicestone Passage,excellent for boating (available for hire) & fishing.The Island sports 3 bowling clubs, a golf club & R.S.L[INVALID],all of which do lunches & dinners at very reasonable prices.Excellent shopping is available in the Morayfield Complex(15 mins drive).Weekend markets at Caboolture & Eumundi.
