The village boasts shops, doctors, frequent/reliable public transport, sports centre w. gym & pubs serving food & ale. It is also v. close to York University Campus ( both old & new ). The Dales, Wolds & Moors are also relatively close by.
York itself can be the gateway to London or Edinburgh/Glasgow by train with all their attractions! In short, this area where we live is in a supurb location for visiting.
