This modern ground floor apartment is situated less than 3 miles from Oxford city centre; close to local bus stops, restaurants, shops and a public swimming pool.

Oxford, the city of Lewis Carroll, Tolkien, Philip Pullman, CS Lewis and Radiohead. It is one of the most popular places to visit in the UK, with its historic medieval colleges, castle, art galleries, music venues, theaters and museums; including the world`s oldest museum the Ashmolean which has reopened after an extensive rebuilding programme which is wowing visitors.

Experience being an Oxford student, go for stroll through University Park, go punting on the River Cherwell, visit the world famous Bodleian library or see a classical concert at the Sheldonian (built by Christopher Wren).

The nearby bus stop gives excellent transport links to London; with a 24 hours bus leaving every 15 minutes. Also visit the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside including the Cotswolds, Chiltern Hills and Blenheim Palace.

We are looking for exchanges of 1-2 weeks in UK and Europe for 2020, plus short breaks in England and Wales. We can also pet sit.

About the location

Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years.

Oxford is a beautiful city of stunning architecture, history and culture. You`ll find ancient and modern colleges, fascinating museums and galleries, and plenty of parks, gardens and green spaces in which to relax. Plus, the city centre is small enough to cover on foot, and only a few minutes walk from the main rail and coach stations.

Our flat is in the Headington Quarry area, an unusual mix of old and new housing all mixed together higgledy-piggledy on different levels, interconnected by alleyways. Literally build in old quarries where the university buildings were first Quarried from. Includes church where CS Lewis is buried; his house also nearby. Has 3 old pubs all close to the house, with the Masons Arms (Pub and mircobrewery) often voted best pub in Oxford for it`s range of beers.

Our flat is a short bus ride to the centre, (but we usually walk in), and also very close the countryside and nearby Country Park. Excellent 24hr links to London.
