The local industry is wine and there are numerous vineyards for walks along the river bank. The village has a bakers, shop, wine shop, bar/restaurant, tennis courts, pharmacy and doctors surgery.
Carcassonne and Limoux are both 20 minutes away with large supermarkets, open air swimming pools in the summer and regular markets. Carcassonne also has the world heritage site and a swimming lake with beach. It is 1 hour 15 minutes to Mediterranean beaches.
