Our House

We have a comfortable 4 bedroom Victorian terrace house with all mod cons, central heating and warm duvets. 1 bedroom has en-suite shower room. 2 King size beds, 2 single beds. Nice area of London. We are 10 minutes walk from Gunnersbury underground station which is 30 minutes from Central London, 12 minutes from Chiswick overground station with fast trains into Waterloo. 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport, 30 minutes from Windsor Castle. Oxford 1 hour drive. Richmond Park 10 minutes drive. Easy access onto motorway for exit to west.

About the location

Chiswick is a green and leafy area of West London. Our house is just 5 minutes walk from Strand on the Green - a riverside footpath on the Thames, with pretty riverside pubs and houses.

There are several other riverside walks from our house to places such as Richmond upon Thames, Hammersmith and Kew Gardens. Chiswick House and grounds is 10 minutes walk away, Richmond Park (with its` herds of red and fallow deer) 15 minutes drive, Osterley House (a National Trust property) 15 minutes drive, Windsor Castle 30 minutes drive and central London is just 25 minutes by train. Hampton Court Palace is 30 minutes drive away.

For the children Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures are about 40 minutes drive. There is a good local playground at the bottom of our road for young children. Chiswick has 2 local swimming pools - The Fountain Leisure Centre and Chiswick New Pool. There is a golf course and driving range a mile from our house, and boating and sailing on the River Thames can be arranged near Kingston.

Richmond upon Thames is 15 minutes drive away and is a very attractive town with riverside walks, a theatre, cinemas and many excellent restaurants. Kingston upon Thames is 30 minutes drive away and also has excellent shops, an old market square, an attractive riverside, theatre, cinemas and many excellent restaurants.
