Port Fairy is known as a creative hub with an annual international folk festival (Sinead O'Connor and Buffy Saint-Marie headlining the 2015 festival) and other events including Summer, Spring Classical Music , Wine & Food, Writing and Arts festivals.

Port Fairy is also home to many creative talents including writers, ceramicists, glass blowers, painters, jewellery makers and photographers. Many offer classes for casual students if you want to be creative yourself.
