It's hard to believe our extended semi is in London: it's on an unmade road opposite a beautiful stretch of Epping Forest, with lake. We are in Highams Park, 25 minutes (10 miles) from Central London on the commuter train (four an hour - station eight minutes walk) and there are tube links too.
Ground flooR: two reception rooms, and kitchen (with Aga). First floor: three bedrooms (one rather small) and bathroom; top floor: big loft bedroom and shower room/WC. Woodford golf course 15 minutes walk (woodfordgolf.co.uk).
Our children are teenagers, so there are iPod docks, Wii, LCD TV, digibox, loads of DVDs, bikes in the garage. We have a small black cat.
