Lovely 4 Bed home in Biddenham, England

Our house is a stone conversion of a single-storey stable block with an attached hay loft, originally built in the 18th century. It is in a peaceful village setting yet only 40 minutes by train from London and approximately halfway between Oxford and Cambridge. There is a thatched village pub and restaurant close to our house.

We have a good-sized tree-lined courtyard garden with lawn and patios. The house is child- friendly (and grandparent-friendly too!) as the accommodation is mainly ground floor. The two-storey part, previously the hay loft, is integrated with the rest of the house but could be used as a self-contained annexe with its own kitchen and bathroom.

The reception rooms consist of the sitting room, dining room, study and breakfast room together with the kitchen and separate utility room.

The sitting room has floor to ceiling windows on to the garden and an inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove. The dining room seats 8 and the breakfast room seats 6. We have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom each with an en-suite shower room, and a double with its own bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a sitting area and could accomodate a cot. It has its own bathroom with a bath and a separate shower and is in the self-contained annexe mentioned above.

There are a number of golf courses nearby. There are 3 indoor swimming pools within a 4-mile radius. There are tennis courts within the village. As well as other sports facilities locally there is a waterskiing and wakeboarding centre 3 miles away. We don't smoke and have no pets.
