Cosy Victorian terraced cottage near the sea

We live in a quiet cottage in the beautiful western corner of the Isle of Wight, 5 minutes` drive from beaches, gorgeous walks and panoramic locations. We are both teachers, with three children and other animals!

We have a cosy late Victorian terraced cottage with period features in an unspoilt semi-rural area. We are lucky enough to live in a very quiet little terrace that backs onto fields with a small stream running past the front door. There is a double bedroom, a child`s room with bunk beds and a spacious loft conversion on the second floor which houses our two teenage daughters, divided into two separate open plan living areas with single beds. There is gas CH, bath, dishwasher, internet, Netflix, Amazon Prime. We recently had a lovely Victorian style upstairs bathroom fitted with a luxurious freestanding bath. Our kitchen is also newly fitted with wooden work surfaces. There is a downstairs toilet.

We have a cat who needs love and feeding and some low maintenance fish! We have a sunny conservatory leading to a long garden. Patio with seating and bbq.

We are within walking distance of many lovely beaches and the Needles. Our house is at the foot of historic Tennyson Down. We are also within short walk of village shops, pubs, swimming pool. It is a wonderful base for walkers, cyclists and family beach holidays as well as for sailing and watersports.

About the location

The Isle of Wight is a popular holiday spot with fantastic beaches and surfing, sailing, walks, events and tourist attractions including Cowes Week and the IOW Festival. Also great gourmet food options, lovely pubs and spectacular scenery.

This is a great location for families with lots of local tourist attractions and a relaxed, beach lifestyle.

The west of the Isle of Wight is the quietest and (in our opinion) most beautiful part of the island, with spectacular scenic walks from our doorstep and great beaches close by.
