Our home is a comfortable 3 bedroom house situated in Oamaru on the South Island of NZ. We are 1.5 hours from beautiful Dunedin, 3 hours from Christchurch. The lakes, Queenstown, Mount Cook all within 3 hours of scenic driving. Oamaru is a small coastal historic town. It is known for its blue eyed penguins colony, historic whitestone builidings and steampunk. It has a beautiful setting and has all amenities needed for holidaymakers. Superb restaurants like Portside (at the Oamaru harbour),Fleurs award winning restaurant in beauriful Moeraki is 30 minutes drive, and Riverstone restaurant 15 minutes north on SH 1. The beautiful Waitaki River is just 15 minutes North - and famous for trout fishing in season.
