Traditional stone 17th Century Yorkshire Dales Cottage

We live in a beautiful, Grade II listed stone cottage in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We have two double bedrooms, and one single bedroom.

The sunny cottage is south facing with lovely country views and is situated near the Dales Way Walk, which passes along the River Wharfe. Great for walkers.

The cottage is from the 17th century with many old features and considerable character. There is one double bedroom, one with a Queen size bed and one single bed in the study. There are two bathrooms with showers over baths, and toilets.

The sitting room mixes old and new, has mullioned windows, two settees, TV/DVD. Original 1650s fire place and wood burning stove and beams.

Kitchen has a table for 4. There`s gas central heating. WiFi.

We have a large, lovely and totally secluded south facing garden. It overlooks fields and fells. There is a large wooden garden room with table for 6, settee, chairs and 2 benches. The cottage garden has un-even surfaces and steps.

Our country cottage is not smart but is relaxed and has character. I can leave my small car. Cars can be hired in Skipton or the airport. Trains to Skipton. Parking by the green. Sometimes parking is by the road.

I am sorry but Keith has an allergy to dog hair so we cannot accept dogs. We can look after your cats.

About the location

We live in the lovely small village of Linton which is set in the Yorkshire Dales. The village has a green, river and restaurant Pub, and is set among limestone hills and dales.

We are half a mile from Grassington, a fabulous location for walking, and from which to visit Real England. Fifteen mins by car to Skipton.

Surrounded by farm land with views of hills. Good walking country. You can walk from the village in all directions. Lovely waterfalls close by.
Driving, there is Malham Cove and Tarn in one direction, with Bolton Abbey and Ilkley in another direction. 3/4 hour from Leeds/Bradford airport or a train ride from Manchester airport. Lake District, or York, a couple of hours drive away.

We`re on the Dales Way - ideal for a gloriously, quiet, safe, walking holiday. Dark skies for star watching.
