Former Miners cottage in peaceful rural location 14 miles East of Ayr & 45 miles West of Dumfries. Our home is available at most times of the year as we are both retired or nearly! Situated in the heart of Burns Country http://www.burnsmuseum.org.uk

Sleeps 4 with 2 double bedrooms one of which is a loft conversion inc. on-suite toilet, a craft/sewing room, one bathroom, dining kitchen and sitting room. Central heating throughout with gas fire in the sitting room.
Garden room with plenty of books and CD’s, glazed gazebo, patio and decking area.

Village shops inc. Chemist & Co-op within walking distance. An excellent centre for walking http://www.ayrshirescotland.com/loch-doon.html, cycling, white water rafting & fishing by the famous River Doon.
A pair of Ospreys nest across Loch Doon from the road side at the Dam, so take your binoculars, they had their first chicks here in 2014. Loch Doon is also on the edge of the dark sky park.

The Hollybush Pub with good food is 9 mikes away towards Ayr. Hourly bus service to Ayr for train connection to Glasgow. Nearest airport is Prestwick (15 miles). Ayr has many attractions with it`s connections to Robert Burns, beach, golf courses http://www.ayrshire-arran.com/golf/passes/ racecourse, ice rink & excellent restaurants.
Ferry to Isle of Arran operates from Ardrossan (34 miles)
Also well worth a visit is the National Trust property of Culzean Castle & Country Park (18 miles) http://www.nts.org.uk/Visit/Culzean-Castle-and-Country-Park
