We live in a terraced 1960's house in a quiet but urban neighbourhood just up from bustling Brixton, sedate Herne Hill and posh Dulwich village.
Our immediate neighbourhood certainly won't win any prizes for beauty but the inside of our house is lovely (it's been featured in design magazines) and we love the many things our area has to offer. These things include the following: Lovely next door neighbours, excellent local transport links; a vibrant multicultural and very hip part of town with lots of interesting independent shops, markets, restaurants and bars; a great park nearby with facilities that include tennis courts, bowls courts, playgrounds, open air swimming pool. Brixton has a brilliant cinema - the Ritzy.
