1930s extended semi detached, close to Lake District

Our 1930s traditional semi is a great size house, recently extended, and currently being decorated. Our pride is our open plan kitchen diner living space with french doors to our garden. The kitchen is the heart of our home, and seats 6 comfortably around the breakfast table. Double Neff oven, and lots of gadgets available for budding chefs.
. We have a greenhouse, fruit trees, a small veggie plot and outdoor games.

We have 3 double bedrooms and 1 with ensuite. We have one completed bathroom upstairs, and at time of writing are in the midst of completing our 3rd shower room downstairs. 2 living rooms, both with log burners, and we can provide extra bedding to accommodate 8 comfortably on a pull out bed in front lounge.

We have 2 children, so there is an abundance of toys and games for your use. Wifi is available, and we subscribe to Netflix / Apple / Disney+

Barrow is very close to the Lake District, and we are close to nature reserves and fabulous beaches.

We are walking distance to Furness Abbey, and not far from Piel Castle. On the doorstep of the Lakes, there are some amazing walks and hikes, and great swimming in the summer months. We have plenty of guide books / OS maps to get you started.

If you are a foody, there are some amazing restaurants nearby - including L`Enclume (one of the top restaurants in the UK) in the beautiful village of Cartmel (home of sticky toffee pudding). Within walking distance is Peace and Loaf award winning bakery - numerous Taste Awards for their amazing sourdough, and chocolate brownies!

Great public transport links from our home to the surrounding towns - Barrow being the main shopping town (walking distance). We are 2 hours from Manchester and Liverpool airports, and 4.5 hours on a train from London Euston.

We`ve done 4 house swaps so far, and are keen to do more.

About the location

Barrow is an industrial town, with a small shopping centre. It is of great historical interest and is famous for ship building.
