Our lovely home was built in about 1850; with 2 sitting rooms with wood burner stoves, a farm house kitchen with huge range cooker, dining conservatory, study, utility, 2 double bedrooms (one ensuite) a bedroom with twin beds ,and a large family bathroom in the house . There is also a large double bedroom with a sitting area+Tv/DVD and its own kitchenette and bathroom in the converted top floor of the barn situated in the pretty back garden. It is a genuinely character filled home in a delightful village with two very good pubs and a shop.

Near the A1, it is very convenient for travel while the nearby railway station offers train travel to Edinburgh and London. Durham, with its awesome cathedral, is only twenty minutes drive. To the south lies the stunning scenery and walking country of Richmondshire and Yorkshire Dales. York and Hadrian's Wall are near as well.
