About us

We are semi retired , one ex civil servant, one still serving !! Richard is also a working artist. We like road running, cooking and culture generally. This is our first time trying a house exchange. We are initially looking for a few weekend trips away in the UK and Paris or Amsterdam for the October half term. I am always up for a trip to Ireland , where I have relatives. We may be accompanied by one of our adult children.

Our house is large and spacious, comfortable, homely ( i.e a bit cluttered) but not suitable for very young children. We are close to a number of central tube and rail stations with excellent bus connections into the city, and it is a quick 30 minute trip to central London from our house, with access to museums, shops and cultural hotspots. The local area is delightful, a short walk away from Crouch End, a location buzzing with amazing restaurants, cafes, and shops. Lovely green spaces, such as Alexandra Palace, Highgate Woods and Hampstead Heath, are also easily accessible, perfect for a long walk and there is swimming and tennis available locally.
