Comfortable first floor apartment in a quiet area, 4 minutes walk to Twickenham train station (zone 5). My home is 20 minutes by train to central London, after sightseeing in the city you can retreat to a picturesque, leafy suburb.
Twickenham offers: fine walks along a particularly beautiful stretch of the Thames; 2 historic properties (Marble Hill House and Ham House - by ferry across the Thames); boat trips (also of hire rowing boats); coffee and tea shops; excellent restaurants; and a quality supermarket. Twickenham is half and hour to Royal Windsor and Eton and Hampton Court Palace and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Apart from the many attractions of London, exploring the immediate area could happily fill several days.
