The property is an elegant Provencal villa in a large garden with 5m x 10m pool only 3 minutes walk from the picturesque medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup which lies in the foothills above Nice at c. 600 metres affording beautiful views as far away as the Esterel mountains by St Tropez.

There are 3 double bedrooms (2 double beds & 2 twins which can be made into one) and 2.5 bathrooms in the main body of the 2-story house. Beneath the large surrounding terrace is a 35 m2 studio with 2 large twin beds, a kitchenette and bathroom on the pool level.

There is sufficient parking for 3-4 cars and there is a shuttle bus into the village about a 1 minute walk away.

The area is well-known for its artistic character and people.

About the location

Well-known because of the wonderful sun-drenched light, famous artists like Picasso, Renoir, Matisse, Léger, Chagall have all worked and lived in the region. There are museums, galleries and the odd historic home dedicated to these super-star names which you can visit.

They also came for the fantastic food which still features on the menus of restaurants - whether a 3-star 'établissement' or the local brasserie where tradition and reverence for 'la bonne cuisine' still reign supreme.

The area is blessed with sun virtually the whole year with the possible exception of some days in October and November. During the months of January and February there is skiing - with a unique view of the Mediterranean as you zoom down the slopes - about 40 minutes away.

All in all, it is a place blessed by the gods for beauty, food and sunshine.
