Centrally located apartment - Vienna

My apartment is in a quiet, old building in a multicultural area of Vienna (20th district). It is a studio flat with a mezzanine bed and a very comfortable sofa bed. It may accommodate up to four people - one king-size bed plus the queen-size sofa bed - but I recommend less as the total surface is about 32m2. There are old Viennese doors and high ceilings, and a separate toilet and bathroom. The kitchen is small but practical, with an oven and a dishwasher.

The flat is conveniently located near a bus and tram stop - direct tram to the famous Prater. There are also two undergound lines nearby, making it very fast to get into the old historic town of Vienna, and the more modern and leafy suburbs around the Danube. Many cheap and good restaurants, delis and shops are found in the streets nearby.

About the location

Vienna has been voted the best city for quality of life. It is indeed a vibrant, multicultural capital which offers a great choice of cultural and urban activities whilst being minutes away from charming countryside and vineyards.

Transport is superb and it is possible to get just about anywhere with public transport. Cycling is another great way to discover the city. The train network is also very efficient and allows for easy day trips out.

Vienna is a good base to explore neighbouring countries (Budapest and Bratislava are particularly easy to get to). Austria being relatively small, the mountains are never too far away, with the nearest ski resort about an hour`s drive away.

In summer it is possible to have a swim in the Danube on the Donau Insel or in the city`s many open air swimming pools.
