Tanfield House

Tanfield House is home to our family of 4 and is also an occasional wedding venue for small intimate weddings, so it is finished to a high standard, though a period Georgian house, so not without its imperfections, which we like to call character!

It is a 5 bedroom, 3 reception room, 3 bathroom south facing house, situated on the banks of the river Ure in a beautiful Yorkshire Dales village. Set in a large river fronted garden, the property also has an adjoining paddock with football goals. Withing the house we have a formal dining/drawing room, a family/games room with pool table/table tennis table and well stocked games cupboard for children's entertainment.

Renovated only 5 years ago the house is equipped with all mod cons and furnished to a reasonable and comfortable standard though perhaps not 5 star as it is primarily a family home.

About the location

Situated on the edge of a picturesque village we are minutes walk from a well stocked village shop/post office, tennis courts, playground, two excellent pubs, gift shops, nature reserve, fishing, Tour de France cycle route, and a church. Lightwater Valley amusement park 10 mins drive, and stunning Yorkshire Dales and numerous heritage sites within short drives of the property. A fantastic family location!
