Our beautiful home is a Victorian family house in an idyllic part of London. The house was built in 1895 but has been extensively modernised and extended. Our street is very quiet and near to Putney Common & the river and also within walking distance to the tube and train stations, so there is easy access into central London. We have a large kitchen that leads out to an enclosed private garden and decking. The kitchen is very well equipped with a two-oven range cooker and gas hob, microwave, double door fridge/freezer and a dining and seating area with a sofa and dining table that seats six. There is a large double reception room with ornate original fireplaces, a piano and two large sofas. The ground floor also has a downstairs bathroom and utility cupboard. The house is fully equipped with satellite TV, wifi and Sonos (an integrated audio system). The first floor comprises of a large family bathroom and four bedrooms (one master suite, two children's bedrooms and a spare single room) and the second floor has a double bedroom and bathroom.
We live in a leafy residential road in West Putney, particularly well placed for the village atmosphere of Putney Common and the Lower Richmond Road, with its charming local boutique shops and restaurants. The nearest Mainline Station is Putney (3 stops to Waterloo) and the nearest underground is Putney Bridge (District line) and from Putney Common the 22 bus goes to Piccadilly Circus. Putney is well located for Heathrow Airport and for driving south to Surrey and Southwest England as well as accessing all the sights that central London has to offer.
