Grey Cottage

Attractive Georgian house within mile of Lee Bay. Set in wooded valley with pleasant views.
We let this house in the summer and in school holidays, while living in an adjacent renovated Victorian extension. So we are looking for a house swap out of season.

The house is furnished to a high standard, with facilities including oil-fired central heating, a wood burning stove, newly built kitchen, piano, double glazing and a splendid main bathroom with original early Victorian bath.
Besides the three bedrooms (two ensuite), there is a huge through lounge, separate sitting room (which can also be used as an occasional bedroom), conservatory and outside patio. Apart from this and a level lawn, the ground is sloping, so children should be supervised.
There is parking for three or four cars.

About the location

This is good walking country, with access to coast path and Exmoor not far away. Plenty of excellent local beaches including Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough for sun bathing, swimming, surfing and kayaking, depending on conditions.
The local pub, The Grampus Inn, is a short walk away. It serves good food, real ale including its own beer and offers a great 'open mike' night on Friday evenings.
Ilfracombe is 4 miles away. It's a bit further to Barnstaple, about 12 miles.
