Our lovely house is a perfect location for beach holidays, walkers, and nature-lovers. Situated in a quiet elevated position overlooking the small vibrant market town of Kingsbridge and the Kingsbridge Salcombe estuary.

2 double bedrooms, 1 family bathroom, eat-in kitchen, drawing room, large south-facing conservatory and study (with double sofa bed.) Pretty garden with sun terraces and pond, parking for two cars. Kayak available.

Two minutes walk from centre of town with a good selection of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, leisure centre with indoor swimming pools and a cinema. We have several art galleries.
Learn to do Stand up paddle boarding at the Waterborn Centre on the Embankment .

We will need you to feed our friendly cat Emile.

About the location

The area

10-15 minutes from unspoilt swimming and surfing beaches, coves, golf and the famous South West Coast Path. (www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk) Close to Salcombe, a popular yachting centre. The area around Kingsbridge is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), perfect for walks along the stunning coastline and a whole range of water activities (fishing, surfing, wind surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, kite surfing, etc) on the estuary or the sea. Half an hour`s drive takes you to historic Dartmouth and Totnes and the wild ruggedness of Dartmoor. A little further away are the cities of Exeter, with its Cathedral, and Plymouth with the famous Hoe and a wonderful aquarium.
If you want to come by train to Totnes (12 miles away), you can either get a bus to Kingsbridge or hire a car. To make the most of the exchange, a car is desirable.
