Art Nouveau buiding in the heart of Milan

Situated in the heart of Milan, our apartment is a 19th century Art Nouveau building providing family accommodation amid the high-end boutiques and historical hotspots of this vibrant city.

Our apartment is located on Corso Buenos Aires, the main street of Milan, in fact the largest shopping street in Europe full of boutiques and shops. We are close to the tube that stops (red line) at the Duomo and the Castello Sforzesco. Also less than 100 mt. it is possible to catch the Sightseeing bus tour around the city.

About the location

A magnet for designers, artists, and photographers Milan is one of the main European capitals and one of the first fashion centres of the world, boasting an elegant backdrop rooted in Roman times.
However, this city’s formal exterior masks many family-friendly adventures by visitors and local bambini alike. Science and history museums, parks, toy stores and gelato parlours are all within walking distance.

Throughout the year, Milan hosts interesting exhibitions, fairs, cultural events, temporary exhibitions at the Oberdan Space - which is a short walk away from our flat, or near Duomo di Milano - the fourth largest cathedral in the world, which is 5 minutes by subway (20 min. walk) or at the Royal Palace.
The closest museums to our house: the Museum of the '900, the Natural History Museum, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Museum-House Boschi of Stefano is less than a 5 minute walk; the Pinacoteca of Brera, the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, the Duomo Museum, the Triennale, Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci Museum, the Castello Sforzesco museum our flat can be reached easily and quickly with the "Metro".
Concerts are held by major artists in the International Arcimboldi theatre or at the Meazza Stadium (San Siro) where, however, you could visit the Museum of the San Siro Stadium with the possibility to enter on the field where AC Milan and FC Inter play. Theatre: La Scala, the Elfo Puccini, the Nuovo Theatre, the San Babila all by walking distance.

There are a number of places around Milan that are worth visiting on a day trip such as Bergamo, a medieval hilltop town that has been highly influenced by Venice style, the town of Pavia which was the capital of the Italian Kingdom, the town of Mantua which boasts a rich architectural and artistic heritage left by the Gonzaga family and makes it one of the main Italian and European Renaissance centres, but also towns like Verona, Turin, Genoa to name but a few all to visit on a day trip.
The Italian lakes are only one hour by train and they are definitely a must-see in northern Italy.

We also have a small flat (sleeps four) in the village of Lido Adriano near the seaside, in the Italian Region of Emilia Romagna. This is a good base to visit the wonderful city of Ravenna (United Nations World Heritage List for its ancient churches and mosaics), enjoy a number of theme parks in the nearby and spend a few days on the beach.
