About the location

Paisley is about 20 mins away by regular buses and has a lovely Cathedral (where you may play their piano just ask!) and an old observatory which has viewing nights, and was built by the Coats, Paisley used to be famous for weaving- the Paisley Patterns- and the museum has wonderful displays and a beautiful shop with high quality gifts.
It is very easy to take a day bus trip to Inverary or Crinan with the canal (with a brilliant sea food restaurant) the bus fare is minimal and these are lovely places. Kilmartin is close to Cairnbaan and has ancient sites including a large boulder with a foot impression where ancient Scottish Kings were Coronated, there are standing stones and a RSPB hide just at the canal. The music scene in Glasgow is vibrant and Celtic Connections music festival runs in Glasgow until Feb 2015. We also have music venue l'Assomoirs:- Macsorley's and Babity Bowsters are great.
