Peaceful sea views
We are active retirees who enjoy travelling and return to our home country of England most years, but can also be tempted to other destinations!
Our home is a sprawling single story house with large open plan living area which looks out to the sea and Kaimai ranges. We have several fruit trees and a veggie garden and try and live as organically and chemical free as possible.
The house is comfortable and has most conveniences as well as the added bonus of an affectionate cat called Bella.
About the location
We live on a peninsula in the sheltered harbour of Tauranga, about a 15 minute drive to the nearest town and just over 2 hours drive to Auckland airport.
There are walkways in all directions that take you along along bird rich shores. Look out for the kingfisher, blue heron and the formation-flying godwits among many other varieties.
Locally there is a newly opened supermarket, several convenience shops, two restaurants and a café as well as medical facilities and pharmacy. The golf course, boat club and very safe shallow beach are enticements to stay locally
