Family home in Southern Austria
Our house is on the eastern side of Klagenfurt, the capital city of Austria's most southern province. It's a wooden house, which we completely renovated 5 years ago, with a garden on a quiet street. There's a large living room/kitchen opening onto a terrace on the ground floor, and 3 bedrooms and a modern bathroom on the first floor.
About the location
Klagenfurt is a pretty town which lies on Lake Wörthersee - one of the largest lakes in Austria. Klagenfurt is the capital city of the province of Carinthia, which is famous for its beautiful lakes and mountains. So if you like swimming and hiking this is the ideal location for your summer holiday.
The Wörthersee is a 15-minute drive away from our house (or you can cycle there within 35 minutes) and you can be hiking in the mountains within half-an-hour. There is a good public transport system in the town. Ljubljana and Graz are just over an hour's drive away, Venice 2.5 hours, and Vienna 4 hours.
