Plymouth is a Famous historic maritime City from which the pilgrim fathers sailed in search of the new world, the mayflower steps are located in the barbican which is the oldest part of Plymouth. The city is home to around 300,000 people and is the largest city in Devon.
Plymouth is quite unique just a short trip to cornwall and its beautiful beaches and fishing villages, Dartmoor to the north with its rugged granite wilderness a fantastic place to cycle walk or drive, and the south hams with its picture postcard villages and towns.
