Tyr Adar cottage on the Mawwdach Estuary

Our holiday accommodation in Snowdonia with a woodburning stove is called Ty'r Adar (which means House of Birds in Welsh). The spacious self-catering accommodation sleeps 4 - 6 people in a stunning lcoation in Snowdonia National Park.

The large open plan lounge/kitchen has recently been redecorated in cosy colours with big comfy sofas and lots of books, games and DVDs. The two large bedrooms have Welsh blankets on the beds which can be set up as superkings or singles. There's also a good quality sofa bed downstairs by the woodburner.

Our cottage is attached to our main house where we operate B and B, we also run a small camp site all set within 45 acres of wood land and fields. From the cottage you can have direct access to the Mawddach trail.

About the location

From our cottage in Snowdonia you can step straight onto the coastal Mawddach cycle trail, and explore upland walks in the forest and foothills. The spectacular Cadair Idris mountain rises steeply behind us and there are magnificent views towards Barmouth's bridge and sandy beaches. Coed-y- Brenin's challenging mountain bike routes, Portmeirion and Harlech Castle are all within easy reach.

You'll find natural beauty in this quiet corner of Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year you choose to stay – bluebells in spring, summer sunsets, phenomenal autumn colours and sparkling winter mornings.
