Bristol, Avon, South West

Our family home is a 1930s semi detached house, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is situated on a quiet road in a suburb of South Bristol, a 10 minute drive from the centre and ideally located for bus routes and Temple Meads train station. There is a garden with a trampoline and a lovely patio that catches the sun (when it is out). The house is in good decorative order, having just recently finished some major building work, but as you might expect of a normal family home it is not pristine. We have two children of each gender so there are toys - plenty of Lego - and an X-box with age appropriate games (under 10 years). There is also access to bikes (adults and children).

About the location

Bristol is a vibrant city with lots for families: two museums, a science centre, the pretty harbourside, plenty of parks and play areas (there is one at the bottom of our road), beautiful historic Clifton, and for those without children plenty of restaurants and night life too. During the summer there is a festival of some sort taking place almost every weekend. Bristol is the home of the graffiti artist Banksy and there are plenty of 'Banksy' trails around the city. If wish to sight see further afield, Bristol offers easy access to the historic Georgian city of Bath, the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Wales is just 20 minutes away and London is an hour and a half by train.
