Our home is a pretty double-fronted Victorian cottage in SW London, tucked away in a pedestrian-only location but within easy walking distance of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, with excellent transport links.

Downstairs is the living/dining room, an eat-in kitchen plus a downstairs wc and a private, sunny courtyard garden opening off from the kitchen.

There are two cosy double bedrooms upstairs, plus a family bathroom with bath and shower.

About the location

We are minutes from frequent buses and Mortlake train station, which can take you to Waterloo Station (central London) in 25 minutes. Google `Waterloo Station to Oxford Street`.

We live in a safe and friendly neighbourhood with an excellent range of coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, independent shops and supermarkets. A short bus or train ride takes you to some lovely London villages, for example: Richmond with three cinemas and two theatres, along with riverside bars, pubs and restaurants; Barnes, and Kew.

We are close to many green spaces, including the 2500 acres of Royal Richmond Park which is perfect for walking, jogging, picnics, and cycling.

Less than a mile away from our house is the picture-postcard village of Barnes. Have lunch and a beer at The Sun Inn, a Grade II 17th century public house overlooking the village pond; on Saturdays there is the farmers market where can buy organic and free range meats, fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, bread, pastries and cheeses.
