Country Cottage in Aberdeenshire - Open Fire, Jacuzzi bath, outdoor bar, Near Balmedie Beach, Bennachie and Eat on the Green (famous restaurant)

Our Country Cottage is located in Udny Green a small village on the outskirts of Aberdeen. A 5 monte walk down the road takes you to the famous Eat on the Green restaurant. There is also a shop and coffee shop a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

The house is over 100 years old and has been fully upgraded, insulated and has central heating throughout. The original stone walls remain in the hallway and living room, giving a traditional charm. The house has one master bedroom with french doors opening to the garden and a tempur mattress for extra comfort.

The second bedroom is in the garden room where there is a pull out double sofa bed - again with doors opening into the garden.

The third bedroom is a single room.

The large bathroom is newly fitted to a high standard with large walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath.

The living room has an open fireplace and looks out to the west where you will see the beautiful sun set every night. (see images above)

The large kitchen has everything you need including a Kenwood mixer and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The large garden has a BBQ, dining area and sun loungers. It also houses a bar within the summer house and a children's play frame.

We are a family of three. I am a marketing manager, my partner Mike is an accountant and our son Harry is 3. We like to visit new places with lots to see and do but also enjoy relaxing in the sunshine with a bottle of wine and nice food.

About the location

Udny is in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by farms, fields and forests. Only an 8 mile drive to the lovely town of Ellon and a 20 minute drive to Aberdeen city centre. It is also only 15 minutes from Inverurie, the famous Bennachie (a great walk) and Balmedie beach. The area is surrounded by lovely gold courses and only 10 minutes from the Trump course at Belmedie.

There are lots of activities nearby including horse riding, a tennis club 5 minutes away, the castle route around the north of Scotland, skiing, fishing, shopping and eating out in the city centre and of course golf. There are also lots of hidden treasures in the rural areas around the house including lovely tearooms, art galleries, castles, estates, grand houses and grounds and much more.

The bus to the city centre stops at the front door of the house and there is also a bus to Inverurie.
