About the location

The area has stunning riverside walks, and several bars and restaurants serving various cuisines, within a few minutes walk. There is also an outlet shopping centre on site, Dicken's World (go back in time to experience the world of Charles Dickens) and a multiplex cinema. Despite the lively complex of shops, restaurants and bars, the apartment is a quiet, peaceful, tranquil place to be.

Kent has many ancient castles, one of which, the medieval castle of Upnor, is overlooked from the apartment. It provides excellent commentary on the historic Raid on Medway by the Dutch fleet at that very spot in 1667. 10 minutes away is a World Heritage Site -The Historic Dockyard, which is a maritime museum. There are several historic cities 30 minutes away, including ancient Canterbury with its beautiful cathedral. There is also the Canterbury Tales Tourist Attraction if you wish to step back into Medieval times and be introduced to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and Medieval mischief.
Much to see and do in one of the greatest capitals in the world - London. The Shuttle Bus is 3 mins walk away from the apartment and takes 6 minutes to reach the train station. Trains into central London take 40 minutes (or 17 minutes on a high speed train). The high speed train, the Eurostar at Ebbsfleet, is a 15 minute taxi/drive away from the apartment. Trains from Ebbsfleet into central Paris take only 2 hours

This is a second home and therefore we are not looking for a simultaneous swap. There is a 9 day holiday available at the apartment from 3rd - 12th April 2015.
I have selected places we would like to visit in the future but am flexible. If you like the look of the place and want to see London and the South East, do get in touch wherever you are!
