About the location
Southsea/Portsmouth is the city by the sea. Very lively with many restaurants (a delightful french restaurant 20 metres from our front door), two theatres and the very lively Gunwharf Quays Close by (15 mins walk) with many, many restaurants, shops and a Vue Cinema with 14 screens. The Dock Yard is a major visitor centre with the Mary Rose, the Warrior and the Victory plus the Submarine Museum and Explosions attraction across the harbour. The Isle of Wight is 15 mins by Hovercraft and day trips to France by Fast Cat are easy to make. The Ben Ainsley Racing organisation has just set up in the harbour and is all set to win the America's Cup (we hope!). 90 mins to London by train!
