East London cottage

We live in one of the buildings in the beautifully converted 19th century Bryant and May matchbox factory now called Bow Quarter ( www.thebowquarter.co.uk ). The cottage was originally the Director's home, which is now decided into five flats. Our flat is on the first floor and has been comfortably renovated to comply with modern standards, including dishwasher, washer and dryer. It consists of a kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower and two bedrooms, one with a double loft bed, the other with a junior bed and a single loft bed. Both loft beds are accessible by ladders. The main bedroom also contains a cot. In addition to that we have a number of comfortable floor mats.
Bow Quarter is a gated and secure complex with lovely landscaped areas, a supermarket, pub, restaurant, and a shared deck area for barbeques.

About the location

The local area is bursting with new and interesting places as well as old Bow institutions. Roman Road Market is 5 mins walk away and a great place for a stroll. At one end you can see the Olympic site and the ArcelorMittal Orbit and to visit is a lovely walk along the canal or easily accessible by bus or tube. Europe's biggest Westfield shopping centre is there too.
The legendary and stunning Victoria Park & village is only 15 minute walk from the cottage, abundant with inviting cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, shops & boutiques.
Shoreditch is a quick no. 8 bus journey from Roman Road . The very hip Hackney area, Dalston, London Fields & Broadway Market etc. are also just a short bus ride away.
For visits to central London the tube is an easy walk away; the Hammersmith & City and District Tube line stop close by at the Bow Road tube stop and the DLR stops even closer at the Bow Church station.
The Overground stops a short bus ride away at the Hackney Wick or Stratford station
