Beautifully airy bungalow
Every room in our home is comfortable and spacious, with a beautiful design and atmosphere. We have a wonderfully enchanting large garden, a community of birds and wild rabbits who often dwell and the garden gets a lot of sun, lovely views of the local woodland and is totally private; it has a summer house and a fire pit so can be enjoyed all year round.
The vaulted ceiling main bedroom has doors leading into the garden and is fresh light and spacious. The Moroccan style bathroom boasts a roll top bath and extra spacious shower. With wooden and tiled floors throughout (except bedrooms) the bungalow is easily maintained. We have a cleaner once a week who will continue throughout your stay. The large lounge is cosy, yet spacious and has an eclectic and modern style of interior, inspired by mid century furnishings. The conservatory leads off the lounge into the garden and the whole property is detached. The area in which we live is peaceful, very green and has two woods close by - we have a butchers, fruit and veg store and a convenience store within 10 minutes walking distance.
About the location
Bexhill is a very quaint unspoilt seaside town. With a small busy centre, there are cafes and restaurants to choose from and of course the must see, famous Art Deco building The De La Warr Pavilion; a place to visit whether to view an exhibition, watch a show or simply dine or have a cup of tea. The views of the Channel are immense from the cafe at the DLWP, the grounds are picturesque and the beaches clean and beautifully maintained. With the new bike lane, you are able to ride to the next eclectic town of Hastings and visit the very well known and quirky area of the Old Town which boasts an array of pubs and restaurants, walks and exhibitions. Bexhill seafront is unspoilt and decorated with quaint beach huts, a choice of cafes and a great promenade.
From Bexhill train station you can take a train ride to the wonderful city of Brighton and Hove, the ancient town of Rye Harbour and for all the shoppers out there, the Ashford outlet centre is just an hour away. Bodium, Pevensey and Hercmoneaux all have castles to visit, and just up the road in Battle is the famous Battle Abbey, and the grounds of the 1066 Battle of Hastings.
There is plenty to see and do to stay busy, lots of English history and great areas of countryside for walks, time out and relaxation. Bexhill and the surrounding areas are a true example of Sussex and English heritage.
