The windows at the back look out at a pretty backyard area, and at the front look out over the gardens of a neighbouring museum. There are original wood floors throughout, and the flat is fully furnished. It’s a very quiet apartment, as it’s on a pedestrian street, so no cars in front. The neighbours (from UK, Italy and Portugal) are all very friendly.

About the location

The area (Sao Bento/Praca das Flores) is right in the centre of town - walking distance to almost everything you'd want to visit. Nonetheless, the streets immediately around are quiet and residential. There's a supermarket (9am-9pm) lower down the street and some nice local restaurants. It's near a couple of pretty parks (Jardim de Estrela, Principe Real), but it's only a 10 min walk to Bairro Alto, the main bar area, and 15 min walk to Baixa, the main downtown area. It is on the 28 tram line, and there are buses very close by. The nearest Metro is Rato, about 5-10 min walk. Santos, the station for getting a train to Caiscais (seaside) is also 5-10 min away.
