Lovingly restored medieval thatched cottage.

Our home dates back to the 13th century, with a wealth of exposed timbers and historic features. We have passionately restored the original part of the house; kitchen, bathroom, study & bedroom have all been completed in the last few years. A contemporary oak framed extension provides a large lounge, bedroom and shower room.

Two bedrooms, one massive twin room (our boys) and a double (super king size bed). There is an additional sofa bed in the study, but this is not ideal for long term use.

About the location

We are positioned in a rural location a short distance (3km) from a mainline station to London (1½ hrs). Stanstead airpost (European short flights) 1½ hrs. Cambridge & Norwich 1hr.

Within the area there are many historic places to visit; Lavenham, Framlingham Castle, Colchester, Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds. The house is situated within 1/4 acre of mature gardens and has far reaching views of the surrounding area. Footpaths criss-cross the immediate vicinity.
