About the location

We live in the South of the New Forest National Park a beautiful area where wild horses roam free over the common land (and roads!) which is a popular holiday destination. From our back gate you have access to miles of national park land for walking, riding and exploring. There is a riding school within a mile of our house. It is a great area for mountain biking with miles of tracks throughout the forest.

Although rural in feel we are only 10 minutes drive from the sea in Lymington which is world famous for its sailing activity on the Solent. Cowes and the Isle of Wight are a short ferry journey away. There are good sandy beaches within 15 minutes drive in Highcliffe, Hengitsbury Head and Bournemouth. The area has lots of great country pubs and restaurants for eating out. The beautiful medieval cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury are less than 40 mins drive away. Bournemouth and Southampton have theatres, concerts and shopping centres. There are lots of children's activities nearby including Peppa Pig World which is very popular with toddlers!

There is an excellent train service to London from Brockenhurst which is 10 minutes drive away. Trains leave for Waterloo every 30 minutes and the journey takes 1 hour 34 minutes, so there is easy access to the museums and theatre of London on day trips.
