About the location
1/2 kilometre from city centre, very close to Meadows - a large open park space, with trees, tennis courts &c. In the square immediately opposite the house there are Edinburgh Fringe Festival events (theatre, music, etc) which are on until 2 am. These are great fun to go to, but it means that the bedrooms in the front of the house will be noisy until 2am. Still, its a great place to stay, about as central as you can get. No need for public transport, as (virtually) everything is walking distance.
