Perfect for exploring Scotland - Kirriemuir

My home is in a quiet cul de sac on the northside and outskirts of the picturesque small town of Kirriemuir, and within 15 min walking distance of shops and the town centre. I have 2 double bedrooms - one en-suite (with shower) and with a kingsize bed, and the other holds a double bed. There are fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms. I have a large modern oak kitchen with dining area, and a main bathroom with an extra large bath and a shower over the bath. The lounge has a living flame gas stove, Sky (on a very basic TV package), wifi and lovely large Tetrad sofas. There is parking on my driveway and the rear garden is fully enclosed, with a gate leading directly to country walks and woodland within seconds.

About the location

Kirriemuir is a small historic town built on a hilly area in the valley of Strathmore which lies at the foot of the beautiful Angus glens, and is the gateway to the Cairngorms. Glen Clova, Glen Prosen, Glen Isla, Glen Doll, Glen Esk, Glen Shee and more are close by. Kirriemuir has plenty to offer visitors, with unique little shops and cafes to visit and a museum in the square, and Glamis Castle 4 miles away. The local golf course is a 5 minute walk from my house and there is a Peter Pan themed children’s park a minute’s walk from my house and which is also home to a Camera Obscura and some fabulous panoramic views. A local disused quarry provides a rock climbing venue if that’s your thing! You can visit J.M. Barrie’s birthplace here and see the Peter Pan statue in the square. The cities of Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh are within easy driving reach, and the coastal towns of Montrose and Arbroath are just over half an hour’s drive, with many hidden coastal gems in between. There are many lovely walks in the local area and some great wee country pubs.
