Luxury Apartment with stunning views

The fully self contained apartment is on the lower floor of my three story house in the delightful hamlet of La Forge del Mitg in the community if St Laurent de Cerdans in the southern Pyrenees. It is a large well appointed apartment with a private terrace looking out towards the Pyrenees and Mount Canigou.

The apartment comprises of a large open plan lounge/dining room with a fully fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher. There is ample seating for up to six so plenty of space to stretch out.

There is TV fitted with google chrome so you can access you favourite tv programmes but you will need to have this installed on your device. Otherwise there is an extensive cd library with 100+ titles to keep you amused plus jigsaws and games.

The bedroom has a super king bed but this can be made into 2 singles if required. The 3rd bed is in the living area.

There is a large luxury bathroom with deep bath and separate power shower cubicle.

About the location

Wonderful walks are on your doorstep and this is also great cycling country or we can hook you up with the local horse riding school. All essential amenities can be found at St Laurent (supper markets, restaurants, local bar, bank & post office.) St Laurent also has an outdoor swimming pool (summer only) and the excellent Falgós golf course is also nearby.

If you can tear yourself away from the view and that very relaxed feeling you will no doubt discover should you come to stay, there is so much to do and such variety in this region. The lovely market town of Ceret is 30 mins drive with its busy Saturday market and renown Modern Arte Museum. Historic Perpignan is the nearest french city which you can get to on the local bus From our village for just 1€ - yes that’s right 1€! Of course the real splendour of this area is the magnificent countryside but there is too much on offer to include here.

You can get to the coastal gems of Collioure, Argeles and St Cyprien in about an hour and although these get busy in the height of summer the rest of the time it’s can be like having a private beach all to yourself.

The beauty of this rural retreat is that you are only a few kilometres from the Spanish border where I regularly dine. Figueres and the Dali museum is under and hour and a day trip to Barcelona is now very easy with the high speed train from Figueres. You can also access the beautiful Costa brava beaches very easily if your happy for a drive.
