Saint Venant - La Meignanne

A family home all on one level, living/dining room & kitchen followed by a corridor leading to the first bedroom with twin beds and a mezzanine/attic, separate toilet, bathroom including bath and shower and large bedroom with double bed. The style is ancient : stonebuilt, with wooden beams, a woodburning stove in a former hearth, slate windowsills giving a cosy feeling to the place. A parking area for two cars is available in front of the gate. The south facing garden along the house provides a welcome outdoor space and shade over an eating area. Three tortoises will welcome you there and be happy to feed on your left over vegetables! Internet, TV & HiFi are available as well as a dishwasher and a washing machine.

The quietness of the area is appreciated particularly at night.

About the location

La Meignanne is a small friendly village with all the basic commodities (food shop, bakery, chemist...) well located in the region of Anjou, right next to Angers its main city, fifteen minutes away by car or bus. This historical region offers a lot to be seen in terms of monuments (La Loire, main river of France along which the french kings built their most ancient castles, runs through the city), as well as a beautiful countryside with some famous vineyards of the Loire valle (Layon, Chinon, Saumur). It is an excellent location for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling or kayaking. Lac de Maine ten minutes away offers sailing and swimming facilities in the summer, as much as many other places the same kind (les sablières d`Ecouflant, Rochefort-sur-Loire) with access to beaches along rivers or lakes. Angers itself has an active social scene with a variety of bars and restaurants, theater and cinemas as well as a whole range of shops both independent and high-street.

It is a peaceful area famous in France for its gentle climate "la douceur angevine".
