About the location

The house is set in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park close to Loch Venachar with walking trails all around and Ben Ledi mountain to the back. The local town of Callander is well known as being a gateway to the highlands` and offers a good range of shops. There is a leisure centre with a swimming pool in the town and an 18 hole golf course. Other attractions in the area include the steamship Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine.
The city of Stirling is only 15 miles away and is the historical heart of Scotland, with Stirling Castle, Bannockburn and the Wallace Monument being just a few of the many historical sites in the area. Stirling is well placed for road, rail and bus connections to all the major towns in Scotland. The pivot of the motorway network is only 12 miles to the south west, giving quick access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports are within easy reach and the train station at Stirling offers regular services to both cities.
The A84 is a main route into the Highlands. There are opportunities for many outdoor activities including climbing, hill walking, water sports, fishing, shooting and stalking.
