Cottage in a village

Our Cottage is a detached 100 year old cottage in the village of Kirkpatrick Fleming, just north of Gretna Green, on the Scottish border.

It has a large lounge with large tv; a dining kitchen; bathroom with bath and electric shower over; 2 double bedrooms, 1 with super king size bed and 1 with king size bed. It is comfortable and spacious for up to 4 people. There is a small garden with seating. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, double air frier and Nespresso coffee machine. There are many books and magazines to enjoy plus a games cupboard.

The cottage is very close to many amenities, especially for practicalites in Carlisle which is not far. But it is also near to the Northern lakes in the Lake District and is the gateway to Scotland. There is parking on the drive.

About the location

We are just north of Gretna on the Scottish border and only a few minutes off the M74 motorway. So we are easy to get to and there are many places to go within an hours drive. Keswick with Derwentwater and Pooley Bridge with Ullswater to name a couple. Gretna just down the road is a lovely day out with the outlet and all its history and marriage stories. Dumfries is half an hour away, as is Moffat and Penrith. The city of Carlisle, with all its facilities is also only half an hour away.
Glasgow is an hour and a half if you fancy visiting the city and easy to park on the outskirts and catch the tube in. Edinburgh is a little further but a lovely journey up and again, easy to park on the outskirts and catch the tram in.
