House at the seaside

Spacious, well-equipped single-storey house with surrounding enclosed garden. On a calm street, eight minutes walk from the beach and five minutes from the shops. Three bedrooms, large kitchen-diner, sitting room, veranda. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. On-street parking. We have two old bikes (serviceability not guaranteed).

About the location

The house is in Châtelaillon-Plage, a Belle Epoque resort with a long sandy beach and promenade, daily indoor and twice-weekly outdoor markets and a variety of restaurants at different prices. We will be there ourselves for most of the high season; we're offering the house in spring (Easter-June) and autumn (September-October), which are lovely times to visit.

There are good walks and cycle rides up and down the coast (it is on the Vélodyssée cycle route); La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes, Royan and Bordeaux are within reasonable distance by train or car.
