Cloisters Court
Our home is a beautiful converted church set over three floors in historic Highgate village. It’s beautiful here. We have a roof terrace that overlooks a large Italianate church and lovely park with wildlife, an arts` centre, orchids and a cafe with an art gallery and classical music venue just opposite. We`re off a a high street with cafes, bars and restaurants and also near a couple of supermarkets.
We have a large communal space / lounge upstairs with a huge stained glass window, a bedroom off this with its own stained glass x 3. There’s a kitchen and dining room, bathroom and another room on the second floor - more stained glass and downstairs there’s a music room and a huge bedroom with a sweeping curved side - and more stained glass. We have two bathrooms.
And we`re a family of three - two adults (pianist and a writer) and our teenage daughter. We have a friendly, but ageing cat who loves strokes and not too much noise so won`t be suitable for small children, am afraid. We`re on three flights, as mentioned, so perhaps not suited to those with walking difficulties, pregnant or small kids (saying that our neighbour has a baby)!
About the location
Our home is a beautiful converted church set over three floors in historic Highgate village. It’s utterly beautiful here. We’re very close to Hampstead Heath which is just a wonderful asset. We live opposite a beautiful park that has an art gallery, cafe and is a classical music venue and close to all the historic loveliness this village offers.
We live in a conservation area and it`s rammed with historic buildings, cafes and bars and restaurants.
We’re super close to the famous Highgate Cemetery - a tour here is a must, and it’s well known for being the resting ground of many a famous person from George Micheal to Karl Marx!
It really is a beautiful part of old London, really well connected to everywhere thanks to fabulous local bus, tube and train connections all walkable. We adore living here and am sure you`d be super happy too :)
