Built in 1771 it’s one of the oldest houses south of the river!

5 storey mid terrace Georgian property, on a beautiful historic garden square. We can hear the clock of Big Ben from our bedrooms! The house is modern with great bathrooms and kitchen, but also retains many original features. We have an exceptionally large garden for London, being 73 foot long, stocked with roses, jasmine and a variety of pretty seasonal flowers.

Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames and the London Eye are all easily walkable. The Imperial War Museum gardens back on to our square. There are also buses to every part of London and 3 underground stations all within 0.3 mile. There are numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops within 10 minutes walk, but the Square itself is an oasis of peace and calm. We have lived here incredibly happily for 15 years. We also have a 5 bedroom property 10 minutes walk from the sea in Brancaster, North Norfolk, also available for a swap. We run a number of commercial holiday properties in addition to our 2 homes so we are very aware of the things people need from a holiday property: clean reliable up to date facilities, beautiful surroundings, lovely comfortable beds, great location.

We have 2 reception rooms, one used as a study on the ground floor. Then a large open plan kitchen, sitting room and dining area, leading on to the back garden.upstairs there is a guest we, a family bathroom and a bedroom with dressing room and en suite. There are 4 further bedrooms and a laundry room.

About the location

West Square is a public garden square, the first of its kind to be built in 1771. There is a strong sense of community and most neighbours know each other and each others children! It is astonishingly quiet and calm given its central location.

There are a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bar and pubs within 10 minutes walk. Amazing bakeries, delicatessens and grocery stores are also available in the same distance. The newly regenerated Elephant and Castle is now offering a wide range of amazing restaurants from all over the world. There are play areas and parks within 4 minutes walk, as well as the Square itself and our own garden. This area probably has the best transport connections of any area in London.
