Character golden stone cottage, lovely convenient village
If you’d like a quiet, handsome cottage in a charming village with easy travel to Oxford, London, Silverstone and the Cotswolds, then Old John’s Cottage in Kings Sutton could be right for you.
About Old John’s Cottage: built in 1838, our comfortable home is nestled in the heart of the village, within easy walking distance of all amenities (shop, pubs and train station all within 400m). The secluded south-facing English garden is exceptional, with terraces, fruit trees, a fish pond, and a well tended variety of plants and flowers. Broadband is excellent, boiling water is instant, and the log burner in the cosy living room is a delight on chilly evenings. You’re also likely to see racehorses being ridden into the farm over the road. Parking is usually available in the layby opposite the cottage.
There is a bathroom with a good shower upstairs, the Mondrian shower room is downstairs. We`ve converted the third bedroom to a summer living room overlooking the garden, but it contains a bed settee should you need it.
About Sam the cat: our elderly ginger tom likes to be fed three times a day, although he can survive with two meals, and we have lovely neighbours who can help if you’re away. Other than food, he looks after himself and has a cat flap.
This is our main home. We are approaching retirement and plan to explore other areas every March, June and September, Shorter weekend breaks at any time are also an option. We are non smokers and would appreciate it if guests do not smoke in the home.
