Holme Brook Valley

We live in a comfortable detached house near the town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire. We are a short walk and bus journey into the Countryside and we are 6 miles away from the renowned Chatsworth House where Pride & Prejudice was filmed. We have a garden with BBQ & Hot tub and in the Summer we use for outdoor seating and a conservatory & Summer House for relaxation.

We have four bedrooms though one we use for an office. We have three double beds but the exchange would suit two couples or one couple.

We have heating and washer/drier with all mod cons of a kitchen. We hope our home is warm, comfortable and relaxing to any guests.

Holme Brook Valley Park is on our doorstep and we are two minutes walk from a pond and public footpath where swans and other wildlife reside.

About the location

We are very close to the Peaks & Dales and parks in Derbyshire. We are two miles out of the main town and 12 miles away from Sheffield which is accessible easily by train and public transport.

Chesterfield is a market town and there are plenty of shopping centres close-by.

There are local buses and taxis though it is handy to have a car.

Sheffield offers a wide range of museums, galleries and music venues. We have Manchester Airport and East Midlands Airport within an hours drive where areas in Great Britain & European cities are within easy reach. London can be easily reached on the train in two hours.

However there are plenty of places of historical interest in Derbyshire. There are castles, historical homes and plenty of rural villages for instance Eyam where the Great Plague began. The countryside is beautiful and there are plenty of walks where it is safe to hike.
